Mark Romano
VP of Mergers and Acquisitions

Mark has been with SimiTree, working in post-acute and behavioral health space for 20+ years. He has held multiple roles within the company from cost reporting and revenue cycle management to interim management in key finance and revenue cycle roles for multiple clients. Mark joined the mergers and acquisitions (M&A) team 10 years ago and took over leadership as Vice President 2.5 years ago. Mark oversees all financial due diligence services including Quality of Revenue/Quality of Earnings, Valuations, and Hospice CAP Analysis. Mark has been involved in hundreds of deals, both buy-side and sell-side, over his tenure in M&A. Over the past three years, Mark has worked on and/or completed more than 60 deals, spanning the post-acute and behavioral health sectors. Types of deals include asset purchases, equity/stock purchase as well as Joint Ventures and Mergers (both for-profit and non-profit). Deals Mark has worked on have ranged from single location/company providers with less than $5million in annual revenue, to multi-state/location companies with greater than $50million in annual revenue. Mark not only has significant experience with operational processes and financial structure related to post-acute providers, but he also has experience navigating most EMRs, leveraging reports for revenue recalculations and development of trended key performance indicators (KPIs). Mark received a BS in Accounting at Quinnipiac University.
