With over 25 years of dedicated experience in the home health and hospice industry, Deb Grott has established herself as a strategic clinical consultant specializing in operational excellence and regulatory compliance. As Vice President of Clinical Compliance which includes the management of the clinical Mergers and Acquisition team at SimiTree, she provides comprehensive support to healthcare organizations navigating the complex landscape of home health, hospice and home care consulting, Medicare audits, and regulatory requirements.

Deb’s expertise spans critical areas including TPE Audits, UPIC Audits, RAC Audits, ALJ Expert Witness, post-acute regulatory compliance as well as helping buyers and sellers navigate the complex world of mergers and acquisitions. She works closely with agencies to develop robust survey readiness strategies, conduct clinical due diligence, and implement comprehensive compliance risk assessments. Through meticulous clinical and billing audits, Deb helps organizations transform regulatory challenges into opportunities for growth and operational improvement.

Throughout her career, Deb has been recognized as a thought leader in the healthcare industry, presenting at national forums on pivotal topics such as Review Choice Demonstration, the implications of government oversight in home health and hospice and on various governmental audit topics. Her professional credentials include being an accredited consultant with ACHC for Home Health, Hospice, Palliative Care, Behavioral Health, and Private Duty. Deb is also a certified consultant with CHAP for Home Health and Hospice, and an active member of key industry organizations including the Health Care Compliance Association, and a member of both Palmetto GBA and CGS POE Committees as well as a member of focus groups for the Alliance.

As a registered nurse with an Associate's Degree from Delaware Technical and Community College, Deb brings a deep clinical perspective to her consulting work. Her approach combines technical expertise with a compassionate understanding of healthcare delivery, ensuring that the agencies she works with not only meet regulatory standards but excel in providing exceptional patient care.
